RTCC Cleantech Spotlight: Leveraging Virtual Power Plants for Grid Flexibility and Reliability
May 22 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
As Distributed Energy Resources (DER) proliferate, establishing an effective DER operating model becomes increasingly vital. Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) offer a creative solution to harness distributed energy resources to enhance grid flexibility and reliability. VPPs can also empower consumers in energy management and provide opportunities for innovative collaborations.
Join the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster and the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association as we dive into what VPPs are, funding opportunities, and how they can play into the energy transition. This event will highlight how consumers can actively participate in and benefit from VPPs and identify opportunities for collaboration in energy management practices. Attendees will connect with colleagues from across sectors and learn how we can optimize the operation of distributed energy resources, enhance grid stability, and advance North Carolina towards a more sustainable and resilient energy system.
