Our Mission:

We are a public service center seeking to advance a sustainable energy economy by educating, demonstrating, and providing support for clean energy technologies, practices and policies.

The Center envisions and seeks to promote the development and use of clean energy in ways that stimulate a sustainable economy while reducing dependence on foreign sources of energy, and mitigating the environmental impacts of fossil fuel use.

The North Carolina General Assembly generously provides core funding for the Center by direct appropriation. The Center receives additional funding from fees for training and technical assistance, and from numerous federal, state and private research grants. The Center is also supported by the N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center Fund, a part of the N.C. State Engineering Foundation.

The N.C. State Engineering Foundation works with alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations to secure support that is vital for the continued improvement of the College of Engineering including programs like the N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center. Gifts support student stipends, special programs and research, and other initiatives that are not typically supported through state appropriations.

We invite you to make an investment in the Center and its people. Already a leading hub of clean energy technology development and demonstration in the nation, the Center is poised to reach greater levels of achievement and recognition. To make a tax-deductible donation, please click here.
