Justin Lindemann

Project Manager

Bio

Justin Lindemann is a Project Manager at the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, where he contributes to the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) and the
DSIRE Insight report series. He tracks clean energy, clean transportation, and grid modernization legislation and regulatory activity across portions of the Northeast and Southeast and leads the Center’s nuclear energy policy and markets research. Justin also manages the Center’s collaboration with the Smart Electric Power Alliance on the Database of Emerging Large-Load Tariffs (DELTa), which provides state-by-state information on utility large-load services and tariffs, including those for data centers, cryptocurrency operations, and other large-load customers.

In addition, he provides policy and incentive analysis for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Southeast Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership, supporting the commercial and industrial deployment of onsite energy technologies across the Southeast. He is also the program manager for the Carolinas Development Assistance and Siting Hub (Carolinas DASH), a North and South Carolina initiative that aims to improve local decision-making related to solar, wind, and battery storage development. It also aims to educate communities about the siting, permitting, and development of these technologies and other large energy infrastructure.

Prior to his work at the Center, he created educational content on city-based circular economy strategies for a Durham, NC-based nonprofit, interned with an environmental consulting firm in Washington, D.C. on issues including PFAS, digitalization, and methane leakage monitoring, reporting, and logging (MRL), and supported science communication efforts at the NC Water Resources Research Institute, among other roles.
