Bio
Art Samberg is a Program Director in the Clean Power and Industrial Efficiency (CPIE) team at the Center. Art has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Meteorology from Rutgers University. Art’s career spans over 40 years starting out as an air quality permitting specialist for the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Art then worked for private sector consulting firms for approximately 30 years providing air permitting and regulatory compliance support to a broad range of industrial clients, with a particular focus on siting and licensing of merchant power plants in several states across the country. Art has been at the Center since 2014, working with the CPIE team as the Assistant Director of the USDOE CHP (now Onsite Energy) Technical Assistance Partnership where he provides education and technical support to industrial and institutional energy endusers across the southeast. Art also works with the CPIE team on projects funded by the USDA to provide renewable energy technical assistance and grant funding application support on the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
