NCCETC/The Solar House Tour & Solar Demonstration

Come join us at NC State University’s Energy Week as The NC Clean Energy Technology Center (NCCETC) and The Engineering Place at the NC State Solar House demonstrate the power of Solar! We’ll also have lunch with industry partners and potential employers! Come speak with industry professionals about what career opportunities the solar industry in North Carolina has to offer.

NCCETC will provide a live demonstration of a residential solar photovoltaic system on the Center’s practice roof including a discussion about the solar system components including the panels, racking system, inverters, and batteries; the installation process itself; and testing the temperature and efficiency of the system as it goes live!
NC State’s Solar House will provide a walking tour through and around the house where you’ll see and learn about the various active and passive technologies and techniques that were incorporated into the construction of the Solar House to make it an example of green building practices that are incorporated into buildings throughout history and in modern construction.
We’ll be offering the demos and tours at 11 am and 1 pm, with a pizza lunch at 12 pm so you have the chance to see it all; i.e. choose the tour at 11 and the demo at 1, or vice versa.
