Driving on Sunshine – Charge for Change

August 21, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The time for Clean Energy investment is now. We are at a crossroads where we must have massive investment in our climate coupled with divestment from fossil fuels.

This event highlights the need for clean energy transportation solutions through the following:

  • an EV car show
  • constituent meetings with elected officials
  • networking with leading small businesses, non profits, and community leaders on local solutions and clean energy manufacturing jobs
  • Green Jobs discussion
  • Electric Vehicle 101
  • Letter to the Editor Training
  • and more!

Join us for a FREE test drive in an electric vehicle!

The best way to see how fun, easy, and practical electric vehicles (EV) are is to drive one for yourself! EDF Action (advocacy arm of Environmental Defense Fund) is hosting a free event with our drive partner Southern Alliance for Clean Energy to provide drives for those 25 years and up with a valid driver’s license or rides for anyone.

Sign-up on the day of the event at the Driving on SunshineTM Tent to test drive a Tesla Model 3 or X.

Limited spots available, first-come, first-served on day of event

Bring valid drivers license and masks required to participate in Ride & Drives

Parking is open and free on NC State Campus on the weekends. Guests can park anywhere, except along the street at Venture Place where we will be staging the ride & drive. There is nearby street parking further down on Main Campus Drive and on Research Drive, and lot/garage spaces at the Oval West Parking Deck, the Alliance Parking Deck, and the Hunt Library Lot.
