SUMMARY:Energize NC Monthly Working Group Session
DESCRIPTION:The Energize NC Coalition is hosting a monthly virtual working group for stakeholders interested in community solar in North Carolina. The working group will examine the existing state of community solar in our state as well as opportunities to expand and transform that market. \nThe July meeting will introduce the basics of Energize NC’s program\, including community solar plans; give an overview of the investor-owned utility programs\, cooperative and municipal utility programs; and discuss some potential innovative third-party structures for community-benefitting solar. Subsequent meetings will dive deeper on particular topics as identified by participants in the meeting. \nThe working group meets on Zoom on the third Wednesday each month\, starting on July 16\, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
