SUMMARY:Clean Carolinas: A Vision for Clean Energy Innovations to Drive Regional Economic Development in the Carolinas
DESCRIPTION:PRE CONFERENCEPARTNER WORKSHOP TICKETS \nNOVEMBER 1\, 2023 IN RALEIGH\, NC  / 12:30 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. \nHosted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) \nREGISTER \nCLEANcarolinas is a Type 1 NSF Developmental Regional Innovation Engine led by the University of North Carolina Charlotte\, but encompassing partners across North and South Carolina committed to maturing the ecosystem focused on complete development of our clean energy resource basin. This resource basin includes bountiful solar\, offshore wind\, and marine energy that could be carried by clean hydrogen\, or on a modernized\, resilient electric-grid. \nThis workshop will introduce participants to the ecosystem and encourage new partners to join. New partners are needed for CLEANcarolinas to grow from a developmental to a nascent innovation engine\, thus potentially qualifying it for a large investment by the National Science Foundation. Come hear how the NSF Regional Innovation Engines program works from Dr. Alan Cohen\, a program director in the Technology/Innovation/Partnerships (TIP) directorate of the NSF. And then participate in the panel sessions addressing economic and workforce development and an innovation-driven clean economy fueled by CLEANcarolinas.

SUMMARY:Sustainable Fleet Technology Webinar Series: Fleet Motorpool Management for Today’s Diverse Fleet
DESCRIPTION:Motorpool management systems allow fleets to share vehicles\, optimize their operations and eliminate underutilized assets that sit unused in parking lots. However\, proper motorpool implementation is important—a rushed or haphazard plan could result in employee frustration and possibly losing money. Done correctly\, a motorpool can lead to higher fleet vehicle utilization\, reduce overall fleet size and create a better customer experience for employees (users) by giving easy access to more and a variety of cars\, including electric vehicles\, to get their job done instead of only one assigned car. Motorpool technology advancements have reduced time\, labor and costs\, as well as created options for deployment new strategies. Learn about today’s motorpool management tools and how top fleets are using them. \nRegister Now
