SUMMARY:Sustainable Fleet Technology Webinar Series: Charging Resiliency and Off-Grid Solutions
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Thursday\, October 11\, 2023\, from 2:00p-3:15p EDT/11:00a-12:15p PDT for Charging Resiliency and Off-Grid Solutions. In electrifying your fleet\, just like with other fuels\, you need to consider and plan on how to respond to events that can and will disrupt your supply. Without a contingency/resiliency plan\, you could end up with a stranded fleet. In addition\, there may be locations where the current power sources do not meet your power needs.  As a result\, off-grid charging solutions need to be part of your electrification planning. Learn what and how some of the options available are being used. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Now

SUMMARY:Webinar: Electric Vehicles and Resilience During Natural Disasters
DESCRIPTION:As electric vehicles become more common\, local governments need to plan for how to support the use of these vehicles during natural disasters. Upper Coastal Plains Council of Governments and the NC Clean Energy Technology Center are partnering to promote planning for electric vehicle infrastructure resilience in the Upper Coastal Plains region of North Carolina. \nThe first part of this effort will be a webinar series to provide information regarding electric vehicle infrastructure and resilience during major storms. These webinars will use examples specific to Eastern North Carolina but others outside the region may still find them relevant and are welcome to participate. \nElectric Vehicles and Resilience During Natural Disasters\nThis webinar is part of an effort by Upper Coastal Plains Council of Government and the NC Clean Energy Technology Center to facilitate planning for resilience around electric vehicle infrastructure and storms. This webinar is the first in the series and will be an overview on the topic of resilience and electric vehicles. It will discuss issues that can affect electric vehicles during evacuations\, and also issues related to critical facilities and first responders. \nRegister Now
