DESCRIPTION:Come by our exhibitor booth to learn more about training opportunities with the NC Clean Energy Technology Center.\nThe COVID-19 pandemic altered the way we live\, work\, and connect. Walls that once housed the learner and worker were removed\, giving way to increased usage of technology\, innovation\, and altered spaces. This age of transformation is a time of rapid change and uncertainty. Technology is advancing at an exponential rate\, and the global economy is becoming increasingly interconnected. This means that students and workers need to be adaptable and lifelong learners to keep up with the pace and ultimately succeed. \nJoin us on August 8th as we convene our state’s key stakeholders in education\, business\, government\, and nonprofit sectors to explore the resulting changes that exist today and examine the possibilities of tomorrow by looking “Beyond the Wall: Working & Learning in the Age of Transformation.” \nEducators may be eligible to earn continuing education credits for attending. This NC TOWERS Taskforce discussion will primarily focus on the military’s involvement in the offshore wind industry and cover key topics: Workforce opportunities in the industry\, especially for exiting servicemen and women who are interested in offshore wind careers and intend to stay in North Carolina.
