SUMMARY:REPD: Renewable Energy Project Development
DESCRIPTION:The goal of this online survey course is to provide a sound foundation regarding existing renewable energy technology applications\, solar fundamentals\, and the business aspects of project development. Additionally\, the course will delve into the policies that currently dictate the market\, the financial models involved in funding a project\, and what considerations need to be made when developing a project. \nThis eleven-week course includes live and pre-recorded webinars and assignments completed virtually. Participants are required to submit a final project to successfully complete the course. \nLEARN MORE & REGISTER

SUMMARY:Continuous Onsite Energy Generation for Data Centers Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Meeting new data center energy needs can impose large demands on the power grid and lead to rate increases to support investments in new generation. Powering data centers with onsite generation as a primary energy source is an important tool to lower costs\, increase energy efficiency and enhance resilience. \nFeatured speakers will be from Spectrum Engineers\, the NC Cleantech Center\, Joule Power and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Southeast Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP). Joule is developing a 4\,000-acre campus in Central Utah opening in 2026 with support from Spectrum Engineers on behind-the-meter power and thermal generation that will scale up to 12 GW. The infrastructure for the initial phase features a combined heat and power (CHP) system with an electric capacity of 1.5 GW and 1.3 GW of cooling\, using Caterpillar engines supplied by Wheeler Machinery Co. To meet customer demands of resilience and reliability\, the power system is designed with N+2 redundancy and 1.1 GWh of battery energy storage\, for a 60-minute full-load ride-through in the event of grid failure. \nThis webinar\, hosted by the DOE Southeast Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) and the NC Clean Energy Technology Center will be informative for end users\, utilities and policymakers looking for ways to navigate in these fast times. \nREGISTER HERE
