Registration fee includes access to all course content. \nThe goal of the 40-hour online Renewable Energy Project Development (REPD) course is to provide a sound foundation regarding existing renewable energy technology applications\, solar fundamentals\, and the business aspects of project development. The course also delves into the policies that currently dictate the market\, the financial models involved in funding a project\, and what considerations need to be made when developing a project. \nThis ten-week online course includes live and pre-recorded webinars and assignments completed virtually. Participants are required to submit a final project to successfully complete the course.

DESCRIPTION:LEARN MORE \nThe 14th annual Appalachian Energy Summit will be held in-person on the campus of Appalachian State University June 4-6\, 2025. \nThe Appalachian Energy Summit is designed primarily for faculty\, staff\, and students at institutions of higher learning\, as well as local and state government staff and employees of non-profit organizations focused on energy and sustainability. If you have any questions about whether or not the Summit would be a good fit for you\, please email appenergysummit@appstate.edu or call Jennifer Maxwell at 828-262-2667. \nThe Energy Summit started in 2012 and has a history of bringing together world leaders in the energy and sustainability sectors. Attendees will hear from a range of academic\, corporate and government speakers. \nThe keynote address is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Attendance at the Appalachian Energy Summit is free for governmental\, educational\, and non-profit employees as well as for students.
