SUMMARY:CREM: Certificate in Renewable Energy Management
DESCRIPTION:August 23-25 class dates will be held in-person in Raleigh\, NC. Course will take place from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm at NC Clean Energy Technology Center offices at NC State University. \nThis 40-hour program covers renewable energy technology applications and solar fundamentals (with an eye towards the business side of it)\, policies that create the market to better help you select that perfect project site\, and how to finance and manage a renewable project. \nParticipants are required to submit a final project to successfully complete the program. \nLearning Objectives:\nCREM graduates will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the fundamentals of how solar electric and solar thermal technologies work.\nDescribe renewable energy policy terminology.\nUnderstand how federal\, state and local policies\, incentives and regulations can affect the health of the renewable energy industry.\nNavigate the current financial landscape and assess different financial models\nGet NABCEP Technical Sales education credits for the NABCEP PV Technical Sales Certification Exam (must meet other NABCEP requirements)

With vehicle electrification rapidly growing and pilots now transitioning to mass deployment\, as well as significant consumer adoption forecasted. Effective planning and modeling to support electric vehicle infrastructure siting is critical. It is necessary to consider land use\, grid capacity\, charging needs and network development.
