SUMMARY:REPVA Online: Advanced Design and Installation of PV Systems
DESCRIPTION:CLICK HERE TO REGISTER\nPrerequisites: Completion of an entry-level or fundamentals PV course such as REPV or Online REPV and/or a basic\, working knowledge of solar PV. \nCourse Description: This is a 6-week\, online course with pre-recorded weekly lectures. In addition to the pre-recorded lectures \, there are reading\, exercise and quiz requirements. \nThis 40-hour advanced photovoltaics class covers advanced topics on design and installation of residential and commercial PV systems. This course delves into the details of electrical standards and codes. The bulk of this workshop covers topics relating to the National Electrical Code® (NEC) requirements for PV systems and prepares the participant for proper code compliance\, wire sizing\, equipment specifications\, permit processing\, commissioning\, and other necessary steps in the design and installation phases of residential and commercial systems. \nNABCEP PV Installation Professional: This course is based on NABCEP’s PV Installer Job Task Analysis. Once completed successfully\, this course counts as the 40-hour advanced PV course education requirement found in SEC 3.5 of the NABCEP Candidate Handbook needed to sit for the NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification Exam. If completed after taking the REPV in-person or online course\, your 58-hour education eligibility requirements will have been satisfied on the journey to becoming eligible to take the NABCEP PV Installation Professional Exam.
