DESCRIPTION:February 22-25 class dates will be held live in a virtual classroom via Zoom. Virtual attendance is expected from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. \nThis 40-hour program covers renewable energy technology applications and solar fundamentals (with an eye towards the business side of it)\, policies that create the market to better help you select that perfect project site\, and how to finance and manage a renewable project. \nParticipants are required to submit a final project to successfully complete the program. \nLearning Objectives:\nCREM graduates will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the fundamentals of how solar electric and solar thermal technologies work.\nDescribe renewable energy policy terminology.\nUnderstand how federal\, state and local policies\, incentives and regulations can affect the health of the renewable energy industry.\nNavigate the current financial landscape and assess different financial models\nGet NABCEP Technical Sales education credits for the NABCEP PV Technical Sales Certification Exam (must meet other NABCEP requirements)

SUMMARY:REPV: Fundamentals of PV Design and Installation (VIRTUAL)
DESCRIPTION:This course\, focusing on solar PV design and installation fundamentals\, takes place over 5 days with 8 hours of instruction per day.  Due to COVID-19\, instruction will be offered virtually via Zoom classroom with live instruction. The first four days are cumulative technical theory in a classroom format with the last day focusing on hands-on learning through the design and installation of a fully integrated\, grid-tied\, residential PV. \nThis course is based on NABCEP’s PV Associate Job Task Analysis and qualifies participants to sit for the NABCEP PV Associate Exam.

SUMMARY:Hands-on Solar PV Installation Lab Day
DESCRIPTION:This one-day session is for those who have taken the 40-hour REPV online workshop or simply wish to gain more hands-on experience. This hands-on day begins with an overview of safety\, system components\, system design\, and solar fundamentals. During the course of the workshop you will be filling out “balance-of-system” worksheets to ensure you understand sound PV system design practices. You will also be installing a live\, grid-tied PV system\, from mounting the modules\, to wiring the inverter\, and finally\, to commissioning the system.
