SUMMARY:Appalachian Energy Summit
DESCRIPTION:The 15th annual Appalachian Energy Summit will be held in-person on the campus of Appalachian State University June 3-5\, 2026. \nThe Appalachian Energy Summit is designed primarily for faculty\, staff\, and students at institutions of higher learning\, as well as local and state government staff and employees of non-profit organizations focused on energy and sustainability. \nThe Energy Summit started in 2012 and has a history of bringing together world leaders in the energy and sustainability sectors. Attendees will hear from a range of academic\, corporate and government speakers. \nThe keynote address is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Attendance at the Appalachian Energy Summit is free for governmental\, educational\, and non-profit employees as well as for students. \nLEARN MORE & REGISTER \nShelly Parker and Heather Brutz will be leading a working group at this event.

DESCRIPTION:Energize America 2030 is a closed-door convening focused on powering AI infrastructure while protecting affordability and reliability. \nHosted by Rep. Jake Johnson\, the Rainey Center for Public Policy\, and CO2EFFICIENT\, this session will bring together lawmakers\, state and local decision makers\, industry leaders\, energy stakeholders\, and policy experts to address the practical questions shaping North Carolina’s ability to support data center growth while protecting ratepayers\, strengthening grid reliability\, and advancing economic development. \nThis is not a public panel or networking reception. It is a working session designed to give participants direct access to policymakers and peer decision makers\, surface the real barriers to infrastructure deployment\, and help shape the policy recommendations that can move forward in North Carolina. \nExecutive Director Steve Kalland and Sr. Program Director Nick Montoni will be participating in this event.
