In October, at Upper Coastal Plain Council of Government’s Board Meeting Wilson Energy was recognized for their contribution to the success of the Powering Energy Efficiency & Impacts Framework (PEEIF) project. The goal of the PEEIF project is to improve the efficiency and efficacy of energy related programs in the five county Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments(UCPCOG) region. To accomplish this goal, the PEEIF project has created GIS mapping tools  to display energy data from utilities and state agencies providing residential weatherization services and energy bill assistance to low income households served by UCPCOG.

Take 10 minutes to visit the Powering Energy Efficiency & Impacts Framework (PEEIF) project ‘story map’, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and led by the Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments (UCPCOG) and the NC Clean Energy Technology Center. The PEEIF project is a collaborative effort of additional NC State University partners,  the Center for Geospatial Analytics, the System Design Optimization Lab and the NC Sustainable Energy Association, ResiSpeak, Vermont Law School and the NC Justice Center. As one of only three projects selected by the U.S. Department of Energy, the PEEIF project ending in December 2018, is serving as a national model and prototype.
