The Center provides education from K-20 to short course workshops in a multitude of topics to intensive professional development workshops.
The Center offers several opportunities for professional development and the highest level of continuing education in renewable energy technologies.
The Renewable Energy Technologies Diploma Series is a non-degree diploma from N.C. State University comprised of continuing education programs. The Diploma Series is made up of five-day workshops that each focus on a different renewable technology, but are aimed at providing a comprehensive knowledge base. In order to get a continuing education diploma from N.C. State University’s N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center, a participant will have to complete three of the five possible five- day (40 hour) workshops or the equivalent number of contact hours (120 hours).
The Certificate in Renewable Energy Management is a new 40 + hour program that will not only provide a sound foundation of how existing renewable energy technologies work, but also to have a firm grasp of policies and financial options so they can make informed decisions as a manager and businessperson in the renewable energy industry.
Several programmatic teams at the Center offer their own workshops to train on specific topics. Some are recurring while others are created and offered sporadically to meet a specific demand for training.
