About the N.C. Clean Energy Technology Center
Created in 1988, the Center promotes the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency, clean transportation fuels and technologies, and green building practices through four main program areas:
• technical assistance & demonstration
• policy research & analysis
• education, training & outreach
• technology research, development, & demonstration
The Center is a part of the College of Engineering at N.C. State University.

The Center offers a structured internship program for current undergraduate and graduate students, and also those interested in the clean energy industry willing to volunteer their time. Transportation program internship – NC State University students only
The Center’s Transportation Program seeks a part-time, unpaid intern (NCSU students only) for work in market development. Candidate should have an interest in clean energy and/or clean fuels, and strong soft skills suited for outreach with partners in industry and non-government organizations. Candidates should also be familiar with MS Office and ideally with Adobe Creative Cloud though a willingness to learn will suffice.
Training will include weekly presentations by the Center’s program managers in Policy, Combined Heat and Power/Industrial Efficiency, Solar and Training.
